Roofs Built
with Heavy Duty Trusses and Quality Shingle Applications.
It's
more than just a roof over your head. It's the strongest roof
available, designed and tested to withstand 250% of the maximum load
required. Heavy trusses made with solid lumber and steel gang
nail plates are 140% stronger than HUD code requirements.
Multi-section homes include full length structural plywood ridge beams for extra strength at the marriage
point of the home sections. And 210 pound fiberglass
reinforced roof shingles guarantee long-lasting good looks.
What's more, Oak Creek installs layers of felt and extra
applications of roof tar to insure your roof stays weather tight in
any climate. Oak Creek substantially exceeds industry
requirements and construction norms assure that your roof will last
for years and years to come.

Weather
Tight Construction.
Details
make the difference. To make your home weather tight and resistant
to air infiltration, all structural components, doors, and windows
are sealed, caulked and weather stripped at attachment points.
What's more, kraft backed wall insulation, insulated exterior doors,
and construction paper wrapped corners provide effective barriers to
air infiltration and heat loss. Oak Creek helps you save energy and
dollars in many ways.

Fiberglass
Insulated Heating/Cooling Ducts.
Our
oversized fiberglass insulated heating/cooling ducts reduce heat
loss and conserve energy. You'll sleep easy without the snap,
crackle and pop aluminum ducts make, and fiberglass ducts won't
"sweat" with condensation during the summer cooling
season. Oak Creek offers a residential upflow heating and
cooling system option in all multi-sections and 18 foot wide
homes. This allows all of the ducting and air registers to be
located in the ceiling for even greater convenience and efficiency
of air conditioning. So superior, you wonder why so many
mobile homes are built with the cheaper aluminum ducts.

Roofs
Insulated with Blown-In Material.
We've
got you covered. Oak Creek uses blown-in
insulation. Unlike fiberglass battens, blown insulation
flows over an around truss members, wires, light boxes, etc. to
provide a continuous insulation barrier with no gaps in coverage for
"energy leaks". Better coverage means your home is
more energy efficient. Plus it's fire resistant. So you
live safe and secure, and save money at the same time.

"Flow-Thru"
Attic Ventilation.
In
the summer, hot air is vented out of the attic to prevent excess
heat build up. During the winter moist air is vented to the
outside preventing condensation and frost build up. Vents
located under the roof eave overhangs and the roof's peak allow air
to "flow through" the attic. An extra height truss design
at the point where the roof meets the outside wall and at the roof
peak allows maximum air flow through soffit vents without compression
of the attic insulation materials. Only found in an Oak Creek
home, this fully vented roof cavity reduces cooling and heating
bills and extends the durability and performance of the roof's
framing and finished materials.

Washer
and Dryer Plumbing and Wiring.
Each
Oak Creek home comes "utility ready" to accommodate your
home laundry appliances. Utility rooms feature solid brass
faucets to connect hot and cold water lines to the washing machine,
220 volt outlet for electric dyer, and flexible hot air exhaust to
vent the dryer to outside. Another quality convenience you can
count on in an Oak Creek home.
